'I'd Probably Like Her, If I Could Find Her'

is a collection of portraits taken over ten years. When stringing them together I see a pattern of seeking and constantly being lost. I see the strength in my independence and the desire to explore who I am but also a consistent dissatisfaction with my sense of belonging and purpose. During a fight with my paternal Grandmother five years ago she angrily snapped at me: 'I know you've gone off to find yourself, and that's great, but not everyone wants that. I don't want to find myself. I probably wouldn't like her if I did!" This series is dedicated to both of us. Where ever they may be.
